A Flood Coming
We have taken more time than usual to relay this message to you because we desired to mediate on the most accurate
way to present it. The lord spoke to us some time ago, saying, “A storm is upon us and a flood is coming!” First, this is
not a doom and gloom preaching. Genisis 9:15 is clear that God has set a covenant with us forbidding another Noah era
flood [regardless of any 2012 CGI assisted trailers you have seen] “ and I will remember My covenant which is between Me
and you and every living creature of all flesh; the waters shall never again become a flood to destroy all flesh.” (Genisis 9:
15)
The flood that is coming is a spiritual tsunami that some will be flooded with fear while others will be flooded with faith.
The condition of our spiritual condition will dictate the result of this flood that IS coming. There was a turning point in Elijah’
s ministry that after a drought a storm came bringing rain and with that a flood. “And it came to pass after many days that the
word of the LORD came to Elijah, in the third year, saying, ‘Go, present yourself to Ahab, and I will send rain on the earth.’”
(1Kings18:1) Now two men are present at the onset of this storm and flood. One is Elijah, a man of God. The other is
Ahab, a fleshly king. Both are present for this miracle release; Ahab is warned to RUN! Then it came to pass the seventh
time, that he said, “There is a cloud, as small as a man’s hand, rising out of the sea!” So he said, “Go up, say to Ahab,
‘Prepare your chariot, and go down before the rain stops you.’ (1Kings18:44) He ran in fear for his life using the fastest
natural transportation of his time before the rain stopped him. Elijah on the other hand is supernaturally empowered by
God by faith bercause of the rain. “Now it happened in the meantime that the sky became black with clouds and wind, and
there was a heavy rain. So Ahab rode away and went to Jezreel. Then the hand of the LORD came upon Elijah; and he
girded up his loins and ran ahead of Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel. (1Kings18:45-46) The timeframe between NOW and
THEN indicate Ahab had a “headstart” to run in fear. Elijah stood in faith during the same storm was empowered to
surpass Ahab and his chariot. We too as Children of God have the SAME empowering capacity if we will stay in faith in the
midst of the storm. Actually we have the power to do greater works as the storm is greater!
The source of this faith comes from being grounded in and being a doer of the Word. “Whoever comes to Me, and hears My
sayings and does them, I will show you whom he is like: He is like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid
the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built.”
(Luke6:48)
We have all seen the economic, social, political and medical storms that are raging thought out the world. Rather than
being threatened by the dark clouds and raging waters of these storms, we are encouraging you to take heart. “And he
saith unto them,’ Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith?’ Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a
great calm.” ( Matthew8:26) The very situation that makes others tremble and run, can be the time that for us who will
believe and act on the Word to be empowered supernaturally by God. Not only empowered to survive, but to succeed and
excel!
And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with
perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are
coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud
with power and great glory. And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your
redemption draweth nigh. (Luke21:25-28)
Yes there is a storm and waves and a flood is coming that will shake the powers of heaven; But Jesus has come with
power and glory. So look up and be redeemed in every area of your life.
Love In Christ,
Gregory & Linda Emler
