The Lord Has Need of  It

One morning, I was getting ready for the day, and in my spirit I heard the phrase: “the Lord has need of it.”  This was the answer
Jesus instructed His disciples to use when asked why they were taking the colt (that didn’t seem to belong to them) Father [and
ours] would reveal to Him in advance: what, where, who, etc., and Jesus just expected those things to respond; “… He was
hungry. And seeing from afar a fig tree having leaves, He went to see if perhaps He would find something on it. When He came to
it, He found nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs. In response Jesus said to it, “Let no one eat fruit from you ever
again.”  And His disciples heard it... they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots. And Peter, remembering, said to Him, ‘Rabbi,
look! The fig tree which You cursed has withered away.’”  (Mark 11:12-14, 20-22)

We see this principle throughout Jesus’ ministry.  “…the collectors of the two-drachma tax came to Peter and asked, ‘Doesn't
your teacher pay the temple tax?’ ‘Yes, he does’, he replied.  When Peter came into the house, Jesus was the first to speak. …
Jesus said to him. ‘But so that we may not offend them, go to the lake and throw out your line. Take the first fish you catch; open
its mouth and you will find a four-drachma coin. Take it and give it to them for my tax and yours.’” (Mt. 17:24-27)  Even though it
wasn’t in Jesus’ plan to pay the tax, he didn’t wish to offend, so provision and supply were made available for both Peter and Him
after He spoke it [from the most unusual place, too!]  Notice also that Jesus told His disciples to go “posses the provision” for
Him.  THEY were equipped!  “And He sent out two of His disciples and said to them, “Go into the city, and a man will meet you
carrying a pitcher of water; follow him. Wherever he goes in, say to the master of the house, ‘The Teacher says, “Where is the
guest room in which I may eat the Passover with My disciples?’ Then he will show you a large upper room, furnished and
prepared; there make ready for us.” So His disciples went out, and came into the city, and found it just as He had said to them;
and they prepared the Passover.’”(Mark 14:13-16)  In this instance, not only was there provision, but there was preparation of
provision.  A furnished and prepared room meant food, drink, lighting and furniture were there waiting and available; “made
ready” for Him.

It was so from the beginning of creation.  God placed everything Adam and Eve needed, fully formed, with fruit AND seed to sow
for their future, in the garden.  All they had to do was tend it. But, Adam bowed the knee to Satan; sinned against God, death, and
cursing, lack and toil followed. “Then to Adam He said, ‘Because you have heeded the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the
tree of which I commanded you, saying, “You shall not eat of it”: ‘Cursed is the ground for your sake; in toil you shall eat of it all the
days of your life. Both thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you, and you shall eat the herb of the field. In the sweat of your face
you shall eat bread till you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken; for dust you are, and to dust you shall return.’”  (Gen. 3:
17-19)

From then on mankind had to work and strive and struggle to get resources in order to survive, and fulfill his purpose in earth.   I
have good news for you today.  God didn’t leave it that way!    “Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become
a curse for us (for it is written, ‘Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”’), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the
Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.”  (Gal. 3:13 & 14)
Hallelujah! For those who follow and serve Him (Jesus’ disciples or “disciplined learners”), this earth and its resources are
designed by God to yield to us in His service.  All they are “waiting for” is us, to believe we have the God-given authority to
command them to produce for us, just as they did for Jesus (Mt. 28:19-20).  We must follow Jesus’ example and ask the Father
what to do, where, when, who, etc., then expect the resources to be available to us when we need and call for them.  If there is a
drought in the land, I believe God will command ravens to feed us (see1 Kings 17:1-6).

He’ll part seas for us, multiply fishes and loaves for us, and create NEW miracles in order to help us fulfill His will and purpose in
this earth!  Jesus taught the key to walking in this supernatural lifestyle.  “So Jesus answered and said to them, ‘Have faith in
God.  For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, “Be removed and be cast into the sea,” and does not doubt in
his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.  Therefore I say to you, whatever
things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.  And whenever you stand praying, if you have
anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. But if you do not forgive,
neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses.’” (Mark 11:22-25)  Walk like Jesus walked…imitate the Father, walk in
the fruits of the Spirit, and the blessings of God will overtake you (see Deut. 28:2).

“…the Lord has need of it…”    Amen (so be it)!
